Drools Invadeworm-F Deworming Tablets for Dogs Up to 4kg
For veterinary use only — administer under the guidance of a licensed veterinarian. Dose strictly by accurate body weight at 1 tablet per 4kg: underdosing leaves worms behind and drives resistance, while overdosing risks toxicity. Consult your veterinarian before use in puppies, in pregnant or lactating bitches, or in debilitated dogs. Heavy worm burdens can provoke a reaction as the parasites die off, so badly infested dogs should be treated under veterinary supervision. Roundworms and hookworms of dogs are zoonotic and can infect people, especially children, so wash hands after handling your dog or clearing faeces, and pick up stools promptly. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture.
Drools Invadeworm-F Deworming Tablets for Dogs Up to 4kg
Drools Invadeworm-F is a broad-spectrum veterinary dewormer tablet for small dogs and puppies up to 4kg body weight, pairing Praziquantel with Pyrantel Pamoate to cover both tapeworms and the major roundworm and hookworm species in a single dose. The two molecules work on completely different parasite targets, which is what gives the combination its breadth: Pyrantel handles the nematodes in the gut lumen while Praziquantel deals with the cestodes that anchor themselves to the intestinal wall. Single-dose administration makes the treatment simple to complete correctly, which matters, since a missed or partial course is the main reason deworming fails.
Composition (per tablet)
- Praziquantel IP — 20mg (pyrazinoisoquinoline anthelmintic, active against tapeworms)
- Pyrantel Pamoate IP — 230mg (tetrahydropyrimidine anthelmintic, active against roundworms and hookworms)
- Excipients — q.s.
Mechanism of Action
- Praziquantel — rapidly increases the permeability of the tapeworm's outer membrane (tegument) to calcium ions. The sudden calcium influx causes immediate, sustained muscular contraction and spastic paralysis of the worm, while the damaged tegument is stripped of its protection against the host's digestive enzymes. The tapeworm loses its grip on the intestinal wall, disintegrates, and is digested, which is why whole tapeworms are usually not seen in the stool after treatment.
- Pyrantel Pamoate — acts as a depolarising neuromuscular blocking agent in nematodes. It works as a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist at the worm's neuromuscular junction, causing persistent activation, depolarisation, and spastic paralysis of the roundworm or hookworm. The paralysed worms lose their attachment and are expelled alive in the faeces by normal intestinal movement. Pyrantel Pamoate is very poorly absorbed from the gut, so it stays where the worms are and has minimal systemic exposure in the dog.
- Combined effect — the two mechanisms target different parasite groups and different biological systems, giving broad-spectrum cover across tapeworms, roundworms, and hookworms from one tablet.
Therapeutic Class
- Veterinary broad-spectrum anthelmintic (dewormer) oral tablet for dogs up to 4kg
Key Benefits
- Broad-spectrum cover from a dual-molecule combination
- Effective against hookworms, roundworms, and tapeworms
- Synergistic action across two different parasite targets
- Single-dose treatment improves compliance and makes the course easy to complete
- Dosed for small dogs and puppies at 1 tablet per 4kg body weight
- Pyrantel stays in the gut where the worms are, with minimal systemic absorption
Indications
- Roundworm (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina) infestation
- Hookworm (Ancylostoma spp.) infestation
- Tapeworm (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp.) infestation
- Mixed intestinal worm infestations
- Routine scheduled deworming of small dogs and puppies as advised by your veterinarian
Directions for Use
- Give 1 tablet per 4kg body weight
- Weigh your dog rather than estimating, so the dose is accurate
- Administer orally, directly or concealed in a small amount of food
- Repeat at the interval advised by your veterinarian
- Treat all dogs and cats in the household on the same schedule to prevent reinfestation
- Maintain flea control alongside deworming, since fleas transmit Dipylidium tapeworm
Safety Precautions
- For veterinary use only
- Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture
- Keep away from children
