BAKSON'S CALENDULA OINTMENT 50 GM

Description & Use

• Bakson’s Calendula Ointment is a topical preparation (ointment) intended for external use.

• It is often marketed for veterinary / animal use (for pets, livestock) to support wound care. 

• The formulation includes Calendula officinalis (commonly known as marigold) as the primary medicinal herb.

• It is used for minor skin injuries such as cuts, abrasions, ulcers, burns, sores, and skin irritations.

• The ointment has soothing, antiseptic and healing-supporting properties (according to the product’s claims). 

Composition / Ingredients

From sources:

• Calendula officinalis (as the herbal component) 

• Alcohol 2% w/w (as part of formulation)

• The rest is an “ointment base” (vehicle) to make up to 100 g (i.e. the excipients) 

Indications / Uses

The ointment is indicated (as per manufacturer’s claims) for:

• Cuts and skin injuries

• Ulcers

• Burns

• Sores and abrasions

• Minor wounds, skin irritation 

Directions for Use & Dosage

Based on published product monograph:

1. Clean the affected area with lukewarm water and dry it.

2. Apply the ointment liberally on the affected area.

3. Gently massage / spread.

4. Frequency: Twice daily (morning and evening), unless directed otherwise by a veterinarian. 

5. After application, replace the cap and store properly.
