MEDICATED EAR PREPARATION CONTAINING A STEROID — use only on the direction of a licensed veterinarian, and not as a routine cleaner. Do not use if the eardrum is ruptured or might be ruptured: medicated ear preparations reaching the middle ear can cause deafness and balance damage, so a veterinarian should examine the canal with an otoscope before the first use. Stop and seek advice immediately if your pet develops a head tilt, loss of balance, circling, or rapid eye movements. Because the formula contains a steroid, it should not be used long-term or repeatedly without veterinary review, and it needs particular care in diabetic pets, since absorbed steroid can raise blood glucose. Recurrent ear infection is a symptom, not a diagnosis: the usual drivers are allergy, ear mites, moisture, or narrow hairy canals, and the infection will keep coming back until the cause is addressed. Never push cotton buds into the ear canal. Complete the full course your veterinarian advises. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap closed.

Drools Otisear Plus Antibacterial & Antifungal Ear Cleanser for Dogs & Cats

Drools Otisear Plus is a medicated veterinary ear preparation for dogs and cats that treats bacterial and fungal ear infection while calming the inflammation that comes with it. Ear infections in pets are genuinely painful, and the anatomy works against recovery: the canal is long and L-shaped, so warmth, moisture, wax, and discharge collect at the bend and feed the organisms living there. Otisear Plus works on three fronts at once, clearing the debris and infectious buildup, attacking both bacteria and yeast, and using a steroid component to bring down the swelling and itching that keep the cycle turning. Its pH-balanced formula leaves the canal in a state that discourages microbial regrowth.

Composition

  • Antibacterial agent, antifungal agent, and a corticosteroid in a pH-balanced ear cleansing base — confirm the actives and their concentrations from the Drools Otisear Plus product pack

How It Works

  • Dual-action infection control — targets both bacterial and fungal pathogens, controlling active infection and helping reduce the risk of recurrence, while lifting debris, wax, and discharge out of the canal
  • Anti-inflammatory support — the steroid component reduces inflammation, redness, swelling, and irritation, giving fast relief from the itching and pain of an infected ear, and opening a swollen canal so the rest of the treatment can reach the infection
  • pH-balanced formula — helps maintain the ear canal's natural pH, creating conditions that discourage bacterial and yeast overgrowth
