Veterinary hepatoprotective — give on the direction of a veterinarian who has diagnosed the liver problem. This contains ursodiol, a bile acid, and it must not be given where the bile duct is completely obstructed: increasing bile flow against a blockage makes matters worse, so an obstruction needs to be ruled out before starting. Liver disease is not something to self-treat from a product page. Yellowing of the gums, eyes, or skin, a swollen belly, black tarry stools, vomiting, persistent loss of appetite, disorientation, head pressing, circling, or seizures all need emergency veterinary care, and the last of those can signal hepatic encephalopathy. A cat that stops eating for more than a day or two is an emergency in itself, because feline hepatic lipidosis develops fast and a syrup is not the treatment — those cats need veterinary feeding support. Liver support works alongside diagnosis, diet, and treatment of the underlying cause, never instead of them. Tell your veterinarian every other medicine your pet takes, as ursodiol can affect the absorption of some drugs and liver disease itself changes how many drugs are handled. Consult your veterinarian before use in pregnant or lactating animals. Expect periodic blood tests to track liver values. Loose stools are the most commonly reported effect — report it if it persists. Shake well before use, keep out of reach of children, and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Neo Kumfurt Et-Liv U.D. Hepatoprotective Liver Support Syrup for Dogs & Cats | 100ml

Et-Liv U.D. is an advanced hepatoprotective syrup for dogs and cats, combining ursodiol, SAMe, standardised milk thistle, L-carnitine, and branched-chain amino acids to support the liver through chronic disease. The liver is unusual among organs in that it can regenerate, which is what makes supportive treatment worth doing: give damaged liver tissue a lighter toxic load, better bile flow, and the raw materials for its own antioxidant defences, and it often recovers ground that looked lost. This formulation works on several fronts at once, protecting the cell membranes, restoring glutathione, keeping bile moving so it does not sit and injure tissue, and supplying amino acids that a failing liver struggles to supply itself. Supplied in a 100ml bottle.

Composition (each 10ml contains)

  • Ursodiol (bile acid) 300mg — replaces harsher bile acids with a gentler one and improves bile flow, reducing the injury that stagnant bile causes
  • S-Adenosylmethionine (SAMe) 300mg — the precursor the liver uses to make glutathione, its principal antioxidant defence
  • Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum), standardised to not less than 80% silymarin, 20mg — long-established liver antioxidant that helps stabilise hepatocyte membranes
  • L-Carnitine 10mg — supports fat transport and metabolism, relevant where fat accumulates in the liver
  • BCAA blend (2:1:1) 598mg — branched-chain amino acids to support protein balance in chronic liver disease
  • Excipients q.s.
