For veterinary use. Administer as directed by a licensed veterinarian. Do not use in pregnant dogs without veterinary guidance. Not for use in puppies under 2 weeks of age or weighing less than 0.5 kg — confirm minimum age and weight from product label. Do not use simultaneously with piperazine compounds. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Weigh your dog before dosing. Dewormers are dosed by body weight, underdosing is the commonest reason a worming treatment appears not to work, and puppies outgrow last month's figure quickly. Roundworms and hookworms can infect people, particularly children, so wash hands after handling your dog or its faeces, pick up stools promptly, and keep sandpits covered. Seeing worms in the stool for a day or two after dosing is normal. Contact your veterinarian if your dog becomes dull, vomits repeatedly, or has a very distended belly after treatment, which can happen when a heavy worm burden dies at once. For dogs only — cats need a cat-specific dewormer at a feline dose. Keep up the flea control: the commonest tapeworm is carried by fleas, so a dog with fleas will simply get tapeworm again after treatment.

Oriheal Pet Dee Wom Broad-Spectrum Deworming Chewable Tablets for Dogs & Puppies

Oriheal Pet Dee Wom is a palatable broad-spectrum veterinary deworming chewable tablet for dogs and puppies. It combines three complementary anthelmintic active ingredients — Praziquantel 50mg, Pyrantel Pamoate 144mg, and Febantel 150mg — providing coverage against all four major gastrointestinal helminth parasite groups: tapeworms (cestodes), roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms (nematodes) in a single highly palatable chewable tablet. Three actives are needed because no single drug covers the lot: praziquantel handles tapeworm, pyrantel handles roundworm and hookworm, and febantel extends cover to whipworm, which the other two miss entirely. Available in two variants: DEE WOM-D (standard size) and DEE WOM-D-XL (large/extra-large breed). Administer as directed by a licensed veterinarian.

Composition — Per Tablet

  • Praziquantel — 50mg: Synthetic acylated isoquinoline-pyrazine cestocidal anthelmintic; increases cell membrane permeability to calcium ions in cestodes (tapeworms), causing tegumental muscle spasm, paralysis, and death; highly effective against Dipylidium caninum (flea tapeworm) and Taenia spp.; absorbed orally and distributed systemically
  • Pyrantel Pamoate — 144mg: Tetrahydropyrimidine nematocidal anthelmintic; depolarising neuromuscular blocking agent; nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist causing spastic paralysis of roundworms and hookworms; acts locally in the intestinal lumen (poorly absorbed systemically); effective against Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma braziliense, and Uncinaria stenocephala
  • Febantel — 150mg: Probenzimidazole prodrug; metabolised in vivo to fenbendazole and oxfendazole (benzimidazole anthelmintics); inhibits tubulin polymerisation, disrupting microtubule assembly and glucose uptake in nematodes; effective against whipworms (Trichuris vulpis) and provides additional roundworm and hookworm coverage
  • Palatable chewable tablet excipients — confirm from Oriheal Pet Dee Wom product label

Therapeutic Class

  • Veterinary broad-spectrum triple-combination anthelmintic chewable tablet for dogs and puppies — Praziquantel (cestocide) + Pyrantel Pamoate (nematocide) + Febantel (probenzimidazole nematocide); roundworm, hookworm, tapeworm, and whipworm treatment

Indications — Parasite Coverage

  • Roundworms: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina
  • Hookworms: Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma braziliense, Uncinaria stenocephala
  • Tapeworms: Dipylidium caninum (flea tapeworm — requires concurrent flea control to prevent re-infection), Taenia spp.
  • Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis

Signs Your Dog May Need Deworming

  • Visible worms or rice-grain segments in stool, in bedding, or around the bottom
  • Pot-bellied appearance, especially in puppies
  • Poor weight gain or weight loss despite a good appetite
  • Dull, staring coat
  • Diarrhoea, sometimes with mucus or blood
  • Scooting, low energy, or pale gums

Variants

  • DEE WOM-D: Standard size — for small to medium breed dogs; confirm weight range from product label
  • DEE WOM-D-XL: Extra-large size — for large and giant breed dogs; confirm weight range from product label

Dosage

  • Administer as directed by a licensed veterinarian or as per the dosage guide on the product box
  • Dosage is based on body weight — confirm the weight-based dose for each variant from the product label
  • Weigh your dog before each course rather than estimating
  • Chewable tablets can be offered directly or hidden in food; the palatable formulation improves voluntary acceptance
  • Maintain a regular deworming schedule as advised by your veterinarian, based on age, lifestyle, hunting behaviour, and flea exposure

Contraindications

  • Do not use in pregnant dogs without veterinary guidance
  • Not for use in puppies under 2 weeks of age or weighing less than 0.5 kg — confirm thresholds from product label
  • Do not use simultaneously with piperazine compounds — risk of antagonism and adverse neuromuscular effects with Pyrantel Pamoate
  • Not for use in cats — use a cat-specific dewormer at a feline dose
  • Confirm suitability for lactating and breeding dogs from product label or veterinarian before use

Safety Information

  • For veterinary use only — administer under veterinary guidance
  • Dipylidium caninum (flea tapeworm) re-infection occurs through ingestion of infected flea larvae; concurrent flea control is essential to prevent re-infection after deworming
  • Toxocara canis is a zoonotic parasite (toxocariasis / visceral larva migrans); maintain hygiene when handling dogs and their faeces; wash hands thoroughly; particular care in households with young children, elderly, or immunocompromised people
  • Trichuris vulpis (whipworm) has a long pre-patent period of 70 to 90 days and environmentally resistant eggs; repeat deworming at veterinary-directed intervals is often required
  • Discontinue if an adverse reaction is observed and consult a veterinarian
  • Keep out of reach of children; store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
